We were looking for a better way to calm, soothe, and protect skin that's itchy, scraped, rashy, or rough due to dryness and breakouts without the harshness of chemicals and alcohols often found in store bought products.
The additives that were supposed to be healing our skin often made our skin irritations worse. We discovered a way to create a protective barrier made with natural ingredients. Ingredients: Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocoa Nucifera), Beeswax, Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia), Peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita), Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis), Melaleuca essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia).
WHY THESE INGREDIENTS?
-Shea butter: Shea butter is highly concentrated with fatty acids and vitamins to soften the skin in addition to having anti-inflammatory properties which can ease itching, scratches, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, etc.
-Olive oil: Oleic acid, which is absorbed quickly and deeply in to the skin, is rich in antioxidants, regenerates and softens the skin, and has anti-inflammatory properties
-Coconut oil: Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, rich in fatty acids that rebuilds the skin and vitamin E
-Beeswax: Beeswax has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties that supports dry and chapped skin
-Lavender essential oil: A natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, Lavender is a master healer increases cell growth, reduces inflammation, and supports repair
-Peppermint essential oil: Cooling to the skin, peppermint has calming, softening, toning and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin, in addition to having antiseptic and antimicrobial properties
-Rosemary essential oil: A natural astringent, Rosemary smooths and tones the skin; as an anti-inflammatory with antibacterial properties, Rosemary helps to soothe irritated skin
-Melaleuca essential oil: Melaleuca (tea tree) possesses anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which helps to reduce skin irritation, redness, and swelling
